Sažetak
A process of social reconstruction was defined as an active process of searching for a common ground between groups that were in conflict, with the goal of improving the quality of life of all groups in particular community. This process happens on the several levels within community with different consequences on social life. It could be described as two-way process starting from the bottom (i. e. interpersonal relations) and simultaneously from the top (the level of formal group representatives or even state level). These two directions of processes should be parallel and simultaneous, enabling the community to recover after massive trauma and to start with building the new socila relations. An example of social reconstruction processes in the city of Vukovar was given and described in more details.
