Sažetak
Political changes in Eastern Europe led also to the economic changes. After the heavy industry and mining was during transition abandoned in Slovenia, the water quality of the Sava river in its barbel zone in Croatia improved, so the aim of this work was to investigate its consequences on the fish community. The water quality changes did not influence the overall CPUE, but caused significant changes in some species’ abundance.
