Sažetak
A novel system for solar radiation measurement is installed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split. It uses a multipyranometer array to measure solar radiation as an alternative to using individual pyranometers and a pyrheliometer with associated shading disks and shadow bands or trackers to measure global horizontal, diffuse horizontal and direct normal solar radiation. This system consists of four pyranometers with different azimuthal, zenith and tilt orientations providing different views of the sun and the sky. Solar radiation components are extracted from pyranometer measurement. Although short-term measurements are not expected to be as accurate as the values obtained from specific measurements of solar radiation components obtained from shaded pyranometers and pirheliometers, long-term data is expected to be more reliable since there are no moving parts. Furthermore, the cost of the measurement system can be further reduced if a semiconductor instead of thermopile pyranometers is used.
