Sažetak
We aimed to determine if the increased bone mass in mice with generalized lymphoproliferative disorder (gld), due to non-functional Fas-ligand , was a consequence of their autoimmune disorder, characterised by accumulation of double negative T cells (dnT) and production of autoantibodies. Parabiosis surgery was peformed betwen gld and wild-type mice. The jopint circulation in parabiosis leads to transfer of dnT cells from gld to wild-type animals and their homing to lympatic organs. Subsequent changes in the number of bone specific cells in bone marrow cultures of wild-type mice indicate that the bone phenotype of gld mice might be caused by their autoimmune disorder.
