Sažetak
The analysis method for determining electromagnetic field distribution, propagation constant and chromatic dispersion effects of modes in general multilayer optical fiber is discussed in the paper. The method is based on determining the poles and the residues of the spectral domain Green’ s function of circular-cylindrical multilayer structure. The abilities of the developed program are demonstrated on computing the properties of the step index single-clad, double-clad and triple-clad optical fibers which are used as dispersion shifted fibers, and of graded-index fibers.
