Sažetak
There is no doubt that allergies to drugs and food additives are complex diseases.The aim of this study was to determine whether cellular antigen stimulation test (CAST) which use is not restricted to IgE-mediated allergic reaction may be useful diagnostic method in detection hypersensitivity to drugs and food additives. Although clinical evaluation of the CAST-ELISA test is stil in progress the results demonstrate that CAST-ELISA test used in confimation of the clinical manifestation of drugs allergy (49%-58%) is more sensitive than in detection of hypersensitivity to food additives (26%).
