Sažetak
The properties of the aqueous binary cationic surfactant mixture of dodecylammonium chloride and tetradecylammonium chloride were studied. The adsorption of surfactant chains at the air- solution interface and their association in bulk solution were investigated by surface tension and conductivity measurements. The composition of mixed films and mixed micelles, the corresponding activity coefficients of surfactants and the interaction parameter between adsorbed and micellized molecules were determined using the regular solution theory. The investigated surfactants were found to mix slightly non-ideally both in the mixed film and in the mixed micelles.
