Sažetak
The flora of 21 Middle and South Dalmatian islands were analysed. All available data on taxa distribution were entered into the CROFlora database, also used as a nomenclatural and taxonomic standard and as a additional data source. Final checklist, consisting on 1696 taxa (species and subspecies) served as a basis for analysis, together with other ecological and biogeographical factors. Floristic congruence between islands were surveyed, aswell as relation of similarity matrix with indices of distances in physical space and other ecological indices. Univariate and multivariate statistical tools were used. Several additional analysis were done: taxonomical, analysis of life forms and chorological groups, endemic taxa and threatened taxa were listed. Total number of taxa shows logarithmic dependence on island surface, and as other influential factors the altitude above see, rainfall and distance from mainland were ascertain. The results could serve as usefull tools in coastal management planning and conservation activities.
