Sažetak
In this paper we present a solution for event notification services that attempt to match free-text subscriptions to publications. Such services are required to semantically interpret free-text publications and subscriptions in order to correctly match them. The suggested solution uses ontology-based metadata generation. The classes of the ontology and their terms are defined using pre-existing knowledge. The terms and all their variations constitute a vocabulary. We use an adapted version of Levenshtein algorithm when searching for a specific term in the vocabulary. Levenshtein algorithm compares two strings and returns the number of letters differing between them.
