Sažetak
The phenomenon of contact between a rotor and stator known as rub has long been recognized as a serious cause of failure in rotating machinery. The analysis of rub is particularly complicated, due to non-linear and often chaotic behaviour. Thus a general rub-impact rotor model is founded in the light of the classic impact theory. The numerical results given in the form of disk center orbits, a Poincarés maps, and bifurcation diagrams show all kind of complicated behaviour of the rub-impact rotor system, including not only periodic responses, but also chaotic responses. The paper considers a simplified Jeffcott rotor system with one rigid casing ring elastically mounted around the rotors disk. The analysed system has a 4 d.o.f. Runge-Kutta integration method was applied to obtain numerical solution of the equation of motion. Parametric analysis of the rotor system is conducted with respect to casing ring mass and stiffness.
