Sažetak
Zinc dose-rate idiorrhythmic feeding showed that body weight cycling and catch-up growth may be reigorously controlled by this non-energetic (non-caloric) essential trace element. All the previous catc-up growth models were based on energetic (caloric) nutrients (proteins/amino acids, sugars, fats). In difference to the idiorrhythic dose-rate feeding, the basic flaw in the previous dose-response experiments was their authors intuitive choice of the energetic/caloric nutrient deprivation cycle length and the number of such a cycles.
