Sažetak
Two main questions will be analysed in this paper: a) how much concern has been given to the quality of teaching, research and governance/leadership in the Croatian universities ; b) what measures should be taken to influence on greater concern for the quality of basic academic activities. Assuming that successfulness in developing quality assurance processes in universities depends in great part upon understanding of existing organisational culture concerning quality issues, it is important to examine this practice. The main implications of the study are expected in proposing immediate directions for academic leaders and university staff in general about the most suitable actions to be taken in development of quality assurance policy of the individual university.
