Sažetak
In order to recognize kinematic characteristics of the basic defensive movements of the handball goalkeeper's modern defensive technique, video recording of the three dimensional movements in the situational conditions has been done. The demonstrator was a top quality first league goalkeeper, having top defensive movement technique. Two basic movements that dominantly participate in goalkeeper's situational activity were analyzed: arm adducton and abduction. The analysis of kinematical parameters was realized using the 3D movement acquisition system developed in the Laboratory for the Biomechanics, FESB, Split. Kinematic parameters of the arm adduction and abduction movements showed the lower velocity during the initial movement phases due to a burdened activation of the muscle force which had to wake up the system from the statical state and in the last stages because of the activation of muscles antagonists in order to stop the moving activity or to overpower the inertial potential. Arm adduction average velocity exceeds arm abduction average velocity for 6% and maximal velocity 16% higher as a result of supporting gravity force.
