Sažetak
Complete and timely information distributed by adequate media represent the base for the natural, cultural, sport and other values presentation, which are offered to the tourists in the tourist destination. Therefore the authors in the paper emphasize the importance of informing as a very important element of the tourist marketing, which influences the tourist satisfaction with the stay in the destination and increase tourism expenditure. For the purpose to identify the existing level of tourist information in the area of the Istrian County as well as the way on which tourists get information about the destination, the authors organized survey since May to October 2003. The sample constituted 1102 randomly selected tourists from tourist centres of Istrian County.
