Sažetak
A very dynamic development of the tourism industry in the Istrian county has conditioned the development of numerous other activities that with their products or services have in a direct or indirect way participated in meeting the needs of the tourism industry. By having effect on the increase of the production, improvement of the production structure of goods and increase of work efficiency in numerous other activities, tourism has gained a significant role of a multiplier in the economic process. Such multiple effects of the tourism industry are in some activities greater and in some minor, without which activities would develop at a far lesser pace. The tourism industry through consumption achieved by domestic and foreign tourists, directly or indirectly absorbs great quantities of food and beverage. It is favorable circumstance for the istrian agricultural industry, as the consumption of numerous articles is far greater than the production. Research was done on a new Tourist destination "Barbariga" Brijuni-Pula, with possibilities for high quality accommodation and other Tourism offer. This study contains information on the total production and consumption of some of the agricultural food products in the tourism industry of Istria, and the estimate of future consunption in destination "Barbariga" as the new place for the exclusive Tourism, and economic evaluation Development of the Destination.
