Sažetak
An analytical approach to the bending of thin-walled beams with influence of shear is considered. It is assumed that the normal stresses in the cross section contour direction are small compared to the normal stresses int the beam longitudinal direction that can be ignored in the stress-strain relations. The normal stresses in the longitudinal direction are obtained in the closed form. It is assumed that the beam is loaded by the transverse loads through the shear axis. The beam will be subjected to bending with respect the cross-section coordinates, in the case of the cross-section with two axes of symmetry. In the case of cross-sections with one axis of symmetry, th beam will be subjected to bending and tension, if the load axts in the beam plane of symmetry. In the case of general cross-sections, the beam will be subjected to bending, tension and torsion, with respect to principal coordinates. A simple example is given, where the normal stresses are obtained with respect the normal stress due to bending by the ordinary beam theory. The results are proved by using the finite element method.
