Sažetak
Paper presents stability analysis of thin-walled beam type structures from numerical aspect. Stability is viewed as an eigenvalue problem. The new finite element is developed for the case of large displacements, large rotations and small strains with respect to shear deformations of the beam cross section. Elastic and geometric stiffness matrices for this element are evaluated. A computer program is developed and tested on a few typical examples.
