Sažetak
The curved beam stability analysis using curved beam finite element is presented. In that purpose curved beam element is derived. Starting from a continuum mechanics basis, the incremental equation of equilibrium is established for a curved beam in its deformed state using the Lagrangian formulation. The curved beam element presented herein is advantageous in that the effects of curvature and warping are consistently considered.
