Sažetak
Variability of nine isoenzyme systems, composed of 16 loci and 33 alels, were investigated on 188 analysed silver fir trees from four populations in area of Gorski Kotar. Average number of the alels varied between 2, 0626 in the Gerovo population and 2, 3125 in the Fužine population. The level of heterozigosity (He)ranged from 0, 1390 to 0, 1869 and multilocus difference from 21, 13 to 42, 39. Statistically significant differences have been shown beween investigated populations. High frequency of the alel 6Pgd-A2 in the populations indicates its connection with selection pressure on the locus caused by pollutants. The level of heterozigosity, compared with western European populations, shows small loss of original genetic potential as they are not too far from the ice age refugies and also are in hybridisation area of Apenine and Balkan populations. the method used presents a very good picture of genetic structure of studied populations.
