Sažetak
An approach to design of fiber composite structure with stress concentration, especially made of laminated composite orthotropic materials has been proposed. Results of numerical (FEM) and experimental analysis of the stress concentration factors on models in the form of plane strips with elliptical holes are presented. Models in cases of plane stress loaded uniaxial in tension/compression and in pure bending have been investigated. The strength values of orthotropic materials are depending on orientation to the principal material axes. Therefore the stress concentration factors for all cases of the model loading are calculated. In order to determine these specially the stress concentration factors and the ultimate loading capacity of the strips the polynomial failure criterion for orthotropic materials were used. Values of the stress concentration factors for all applied loads of examined models were obtained and in graphically in diagrams are shown.
