Sažetak
The number of original pig breeds and their genetic diversity has been decreasing during a long period of selection and by the increase of very similar breeds. The Croatian crna slavonska breed, which dates from 19th century, also belongs to this group. Up to the middle of the last century it was the dominant pig breed in Craotia. Today there is just a small number of this individuals (about 400 sows) in the extensive condition of productions. Therefore the aim of this research was to determine the genetic profile and variability of this breed. In order to see the genetic diversity between individuals 8 microsatellite loci were analised on Spredex gels EL 400, by which the difference between individuals was determined. Population genetic parameters were evaluated on the basis of 42 individuals from 6 husbadry. As expected, this research proved that there was not a big difference betwen individuals that confirm individual differentiation (F=0.216), Nei's (1987) unibiased gene diversity (Hz=0.44), and the clustering based on the genetic distances between individuals, which did not group in different clusters. This results can be explained by very small population and extensive breeding at which number of boars in mating is small.
