Sažetak
The objective of our study was to evaluate the genetic gain for grain yield and main quantitative traits of 19 soybean lines derived in F4 and F5 generations in comparison to eight parents, through exact experiments on the field of the Osijek Agricultural Institute from 1994 to 1996 years. The 19 soybean lines evaluated in this study were chosen on the basis of their maturity and grain yield components in previous cycle of selection. We have estimated mean value, heritability and achieved genetic gain from selection, as well as relative genetic gain for grain yield and major agronomic traits. According to the results obtained during the three years investigations of soybean breeding program at the Institute.
