Sažetak
The article is an insider's overview of Croatian ethnologists' and folklorists' writing on the war in their country in the 1990s. Their general intellectual concerns during and after the war are discussed, as well as the epistemological problems they have been meeting due to being located "between destruction and deconstruction". Finally, the question is raised about manifold responsibilities that should be exercized not only when writing war ethnographies, but also when reading them.
