The article discusses differences of narrative and other strategies through which symbolic spaces and collective images of ethnic and national belonging are produced by Croatian immigrants who have lived in Sweden since the 1960s and refugees of the same ethnic affiliation who came in 1990s, mostly from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
