Sažetak
The book aims to analyse processes of identity formation among people living out of their national states. In order to do so eight contributors present their ethnological, anthropological and sociological research in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Macedonia and Croatia. They point to differences within people encompassed by terms such as diaspora, ethnic community, immigrant or refugee. The focus is shifted from the common discussion of integration of immigrants in the country of residence, to the transnational aspects of their identifications, political concerns and everyday lives.
