Sažetak
The strength of the Roman civilisation was based upon the universe development of urban society. The historical and social process in which settlements were created, developed and conceived as urban centres (poleogenesis) still is an interesting subject whose appeal is increased by new discoveries and the re-examination of existing knowledge. It involves the entire scope of Roman theory and practice of town planning and building (Roman urbanism). Systematic archaeological excavations, archaeological rescue excavations was carried out in Roman provinces of Pannonia, Dalmatia and Histria (X Regio Italiae).
