Sažetak
In order to catch up economical development as well to rationalize construction business processes, Croatian contractors invested significant amounts of funds for implementation of IT for efficient management of construction. Through last decade Croatian construction organizations passed very hard and dramatic transition as well post-war reconstruction processes. Market limits, structural weaknesses, lack of qualified workforce international obstacles influenced the bad position of Croatian construction companies on the international market. Some research results are presented, showing that Croatian construction companies should undertake carefully planed organizational improvements based on proper IT application in order to improve its business performances and to survive on the market. Authors are presenting recommendations for future IT application improvements in construction project management.
