Sažetak
Basic parameters and properties of airbag fabrics for use in cars were unvestigated. In this case raw material composition and yarn properties for airbag fabrics were tested. The application of synthetic fibres and yarns of specific characteristics is a prerequisite for the fabric to meet specified legislation regulations. Furthermore, fabric constructions such as weave, density mass and thickness were examined. Detailed analyses of significant fabric properties for this application were made. According to the obtained results it may be established that the tested airbag fabrics have relatively similar properties and that they meet specified legislation standards.
