Sažetak
The effect of oyster mushroom extract was tested on isolated guinea pig tracheal tissue. The extract appears to cause a non immunologically mediated constriction of airway smooth muscle modulated by mediators of inflammation. These findings may be related to respiratory abnormalities seen in workers cultivating these mushroom in closed environments.
