Sažetak
We formulate a collective-field approach to a planar non-relativistic system of bosons interacting via the Chern-Simons interaction in the presence of a homogeneous external magnetic field. Introducing a suitable contact interaction term, the Bogomol'nyi limit appears. As an example of possible applications of our formalism, we study the lowest-Landau-level sector and the corresponding condensate and vortex configurations, recently discussed in the literature. We investigate the edge collective-field excitations of our system and prove them to be chiral bosonic waves of the Jackiw-Floreanini model.
