Geomagnetic repeat station network
Sažetak
The network of geomagnetic repeat stations was established for the first time in the Republic of Croatia. The network was designed in accordance with the IAGA guidelines as well as the recent reccomendations of the Coordination Committee for Common European Repeat Station Surveys. Besides the available historical geomagnetic and geological data, the network design primarily relied on the former (i.e. Yugoslav) geomagnetic network. As the exact positions and descriptions of these former points were not known, the old trigonometric, modern gravimetric, and GPS networks were utilized as well. The ultimate decision regarding the new network points' locations was made following the field evaluation of the all obligatory criteria.
