Sažetak
During the lifetime of industrial floor different hard objects can drop on the overlay and cause damage. In the work presented in this paper, two types of materials used for overlays are analysed for their resistance to impact loading: polymer modified cement mortar and polymer mortar. The amounts of energy spent on damage and the amount spent on vibration of the floor structure depend on geometry characteristics and mechanical parameters of overlay, concrete slab and sub base. In the previous work, the new method, taking into account the whole floor system, has been developed for testing impact resistance of overlay, both for testing laboratory specimens and in situ measurements. The variety of material parameters and structure geometries and influence of the size effect on response to the impact loading is investigated experimentally and by computer program COSMOS. Correlation between response to the impact loading on laboratory specimen and real floor structure is established. Experiments were made for different characteristics of the overlays (thickness, modulus of elasticity, strength). Analysis has been done comparing energy needed to produce first crack or other type of failure. Based on experiments, optimal characteristics of overlay for impact resistance of industrial floor are recommended.
