Sažetak
Usage of medical images opens possibilities for advanced, flexible and distributed architecture of healthcare system, resulting in the higher quality of healthcare services. While decinding on what type of images to use, it is important to consult an image algorithm specialists to either avoid introduction of unwanted quality reduction or expansion of system costs. Proper selection of image format such as: uncompressed, compressed with lossless algorithm, compressed between lossy algorithm, as well as proper selection of the algorithm and required parameters can result in efficient, medicaly correct, fast and cost effective system.
