Sažetak
Ultrasonic examination incorporated into the prodding process for the landmine detection makes possible collecting information relevant for the detection directly from buried object. In final prodder design ultrasonic transducer will be incorporated into the prodder, using the tip of the prodder as a waveguide for transmitting the ultrasonic pulse and receiving reflected energy from the examined object. Signals presented in this paper are collected by direct contact between ultrasonic transducer and examined object. Proposed signal analysis method is based on statistical analysis of large number of samples collected from different objects under varying conditions. Features relevant for the detection are extracted from the reflection of ultrasonic pulse from the examined object. Based on extracted features, recognition is performed using the Bayes classifier and the neural network.
