Sažetak
For some women farming was a "must" introduced through farm family influence and through low possibilities for an off farm job. Reasons explaining these two obstacles for women are given in this paper. Selecting a small number off examples from a broad sample of researched farms gives the main characteristics noticed in a group. Regarding the involvement in farm management, farm labor and household obligations we came to a division of traditional, semi business and business-manager farmwomen. As the County of Istra has geographical, political and economical differences we divided it in three regions rural, semi rural and semi urban defined by the position and influence of the city life style and societal influence.
