Sažetak
In order to get more close information about real situation in each country this article demonstrate the greenhouse gas emissions in the Slovak Republic. Concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are formed by two mechanisms: emissions into the atmosphere and weaking of natural sink. In the first part of the paper the total annual greenhouse gas emission of the Slovak Republic is presented. Special attention is aimed at emissions of CO2, CH4 and N2O, as the most important. Since 80% of greenhouse gas emissions in Slovakia does come from energy and heat production in the second part of the paper the results of tests on different combustion plants are shown.
