Sažetak
The main objective of this text is to provide a basic introduction to a general concept and the application of the finite element method to thermal problems. The basic governing equations of the heat conduction with the appropriate initial and boundary conditions are presented. A brief discusion of the finite element approach is given including a comparison with the finite difference technique.
