Sažetak
Health care for older people is a part of world, regional and national health politic which is brought up by the World health organisation in order to ensure active healthy aging of the population. This is also one of the main goals of the developmental strategy of Croatian health system. Ascertaining, following, studying and evaluation of current and future health requirements and needs of psychogeriatric patients in Croatia is one of the most important demands for effective, adequate and rational psycho geriatric protection older people from the mental and behavioural disorders and diseases with regard to growing figures of Alzheimer diseases among older people. Evidential list for following health requirements of psychogeriatric patients is an important part of the recently introduced Register health care requirements of geriatric patients and is created by implementation of professional methodology and the results of European and Croatian gerontological research. In order to create the basic set of gerontological data Gerontology Centre created an Evidentionl list nb. 2.2. for psychogeriatric patients. The aim of this list is to is determine and monitor the specific health needs and demands of older psychogeriatric patients. The following based on implementation of the evidential list 2.2. is brought by the teams of the doctors and specialists in different health care institutions providing care for psychogeriatric patients. The collected data is processed and studied in the Gerontology centre in Zagreb and the result of the analysis of the monitoring of health requirements of the psychogeriatric patients serves as foundation for adequate solution of health protection for psychogeriatric patients and improvement of the Program of health measures and procedures in health care for older people.
