Sažetak
The paper discusses the results of a study on the type and subtype of leaf venation, vein length per 1 cm2 of leaf area, dimensions of lateral veins of 2nd and 3rd order, and the ratio xylem vs. phloem in lateral veins of three oak species (Quercus robur L., Quercus frainetto Ten. and Quercus cerris L.) from the lower region of the Sava River valley. I was found that all three oak species had base to margin type and marginal subtype of venation which were probably hereditarily conditioned and which indicated that the examined species are philogenetically traceable far back.
