Sažetak
Evagination of tooth crown is found rarely on the labial surface of anterior teeth. Almost all abnormal cusps represents prominent and enlarged palatal cingulum which is known as talon cusp. Pulp chamber in some cases can follow morphological variation of tooth crown. Here is a case report of an very rare morphological anomaly of permanent incisor in seven years old boy. Formation represents evagination in the form of talon cusp on the labial surface. Otherwise the patient has no medical or other compromises. On the labial surface of tooth the cusp was markedly developed, longitudinally oriented and streching to the incisal edge. The cusp formed Y-shape evagination. Both maxillary central and lateral incisors were not fully erupted and it seems the evagination has slowed down eruption of the tooth and caused overbite of mandibular left central incisor what required orthodontic treatment.Family history have no revealed similar findings within the family. All primary teeth were normal in shape and size. Radiographic examination revealed uncompleted apexogenesis of left maxillary central incisor and abnormal crown cusp of tooth positioned labially. Contours of the pulp chamber follow morphological shape of talon cusp. Other teeth were without any specific macroscopic or radiographic changes. Labial talon cusp on the permanent central incisor can appear as rare isolated developmental anomaly. Since the cause and mode of inheritance stays unclear, further investigations and reports of more such cases are required.
