Sažetak
Practice has shown that during exploitation of traffic roads, due to the dynamic load of a large number of different road vehicles, especially high mass vehicles, the longitudinal and transversal profile of the treading surface of the carriageway gets changed.this results in the increase of the additional dynamic load of the surfece and higer risk of losing control over vehicle, i.e. greater possibility for traffic accidents. Up to the present, according to the available literature, only the depth of the irregularities at certain characteristic points along the length and width of the carriageway had been measured, without carrying out the dynamic analysis of the amplitude and frequency action of these irregularities on the vehicle, especially not on the travelling speed.Even in producing the artificially created transversal irregularities, the so-called sleeping policemen, with the aim of limiting vehicle speeds at certain critical points, this has not been taken into consideration so that the design and position of some solutions either do not meet their purpose or they substantially endanger the traffic safety due to strong destabilisation of vehicles. the paper intends to indicate the way in which the changes in the pneumatic rigidity, pneumatic mass, pneumatic dampening, spring rigidity, shock-absorber dampening and body mass can affect the riding comfort and safety. Regarding the existing condition, it is necessary to study how much the irregularities, i.e. damages on the existing roads affect the traffic safety regarding the stability of the vehicle driving along the traffic routes, but also on the comfort of the riding passengers.
