Sažetak
The original modification of gear pumps with external involute spur gears with significantly reduced flow fluctuation is promoted together with the relevant theoretical background. The comparison with usual gear pumps is also presented. Optimally designed (low production cost) gear pumps have small teeth number and only one sealed flank pair. The disadvantage of these pumps is the high flow fluctuation, which can cause the uncontrollable excitation of vibration and high noise level in hydraulic and lubrication systems. The proposed design provides respectable reduction of flow fluctuation by inconsiderably greather production cost in comparison to usual low cost gear pumps.
