The paper presents the role of the representatives of the Republic of Dubrovnik (lay persons as well as ecclesiastical - clerics, regulars and archbishops) in the events related to the 15th century church councils in Florence, Basel ; their diplomatic missions to Buda and Constantinople in the service of the Popes and of the Republic.
