Sažetak
Allometric relationships among contemporary American Whites, Croatians and Bosnians are analyzed. ANOVA analysis of data from 97 Croat, 80 Bosnian and 133 American Whites males yield significant differences for shape variables of the humerus, radius, femur and fibula. In comparison to American Whites, Croatians and Bosnians have relatively longer humerii while their radii and ulnae are relatively shorter. Differences are also noted in lower limb proportions. The obtained results indicate that climatic adaptation is not the dominant factor responsible for proportional limb variation and that stature formulae are not transferable between these populations.
