Sažetak
As part of a investigation into the effects of air pollution on higher plants, the accumulation of ten metals in Pinus halepensis Mill. was examined in industrial and inner city sites in the region of Split. The results indicate a greater metal accumulation in polluted site needles in relation to those from control site, in majority of two year old compered with one year old, sa well as in most cases in industrial site compered with inner city site needles. They also indicate an increased level of some metals in relation to natural amounts characterizing land plants. These larger accumulations confirm relatively high contamination of Split's region.
