Sažetak
In this paper the results of an investigation into students’ opinion about the future of the school are presented. 98 trainee-teachers, students at the Faculty of Philosophy at Rijeka, were invited to write an essay on the value of schooling and life-long learning. Most of them were of the opinion that organized learning at school will continue to exist in the future ; they expect schools to create a basis for the cognitive revolution, though schools will loose their monopoly in light of life-long education
