Sažetak
Twelve years after the first observation of Caulerpa taxifolia in the north-vestern Mediterranean Sea, this green alga of tropical origin is present in 5 countries (Spain, France, Monaco, Italy and Croatia). By the end of 1996, more than 1300 hectares at depths between 0 and 50m are more or less affected by this alga. A standardization of the cartographic procedure is proposed. It is based on the definition of two distinct zones,respectively the covered and the contaminated zones. Such a standardization will allow future comparisons between the maps produced by various organisations from different countries.
