Sažetak
The aim of this research is improving the efficacy of web presentations with good graphic design, as well as defining the criteria for evaluating web page functionality and aesthetics. The heuristic evaluation method is described as the method for evaluation of the web page graphic design. Use of the method at an early stage of the design process is recommended as a simple, fast and inexpensive approach to detection of major design errors. The paper continues by arguing that, based on results of heuristic evaluation, it is possible to redesign the web pages in a most efficient manner. The method of heuristic evaluation developed and applied in our research, represents a step forward in criteria standardisation for evaluating the web page functionality and aesthetics, while graphic design heuristics for the web defined in this paper represents a step forward in defining generally accepted rules of web design.
