Sažetak
Application of pizoelectrically based contact sensing was shown appropriate for the buried object materials characterisation with particular application in antipersonnel mine detection for use in humanitarian demining. Its characteristics follow the general guidelines of reliable, real-time operating, low-cost equipment. Because of general requirements of construction and production the modifications of a particular sensor are preferred to incorporating electronically more advanced solutions as the controlled phased array of sensors. In this work we develop the recently proposed sensing configuration in which piezoelectric specimens of non-conventional shape are integrated in the hand-probe. The phase described includes manufacturing of the first generation of sensors, and characterisation of the corresponding ultrasonic fields in space-time-intensity co-ordinates.
