Sažetak
Irradiation of 3-X-2-[2-(2-vinylphenyl)ethenyl]furans (6a, X=CH3 ; 6b, X=Br ; 6c, X=vinyl) gave 2-(3-X-2- furyl)-2, 3-dihydro-1, 3-methano-1H-indenes (14a-c) and 1-X-phenanthrenes (15a-c). The formation of benzobicyclo[2.1.1]hexene structures (14a-c)is explained by intramolecular [2+2] photocycloaddition and the formation of phenanthrenes (15a-c) by photoinduced intramolecular [4+2] cycloaddition followed by dehydration.
